Alexander McConnell – Director

Alexander McConnell trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He co-founded the Little London Theatre with the help of Sir Derek Jacobi and Richard Wilson among others, to create a platform for new writing-led theatre. The company boasts 20 productions with an emphasis on new writing, working with award winning writers and directors including Trevor Griffiths, Andrew Neil, Olwen Wymark, Alan Drury, Seamus Finnegan, Keith Washington, Steve Marmion and Sebastian Graham-Jones. As a director credits include The Dumb Waiter and Held at the Soho Theatre.

Leigh Outram – Assistant Director

Since graduating from Arts Ed (BA Acting) recent theatre work has included: ‘Beth’ in A Date To Remember (director: Steve Marmion, Soho Theatre), ‘Chris’ in Dancing At Lughnasa (Bill Kenwright – national tour), ‘Emma’ in Betrayal and ‘Viola’ in Twelfth Night (Pleasance, London), ‘Isabella’ (Measure For Measure) and ‘Ophelia’ (Hamlet) both for Raw Nerve (London and national tour), ‘Polly Sweeney’ in Trevor Griffiths’ premiere of Willie And Maud (director: Trevor Griffiths), ‘Cathos’ in Two Precious Maidens Ridiculed (King’s Head), ‘Persephone/Porph’ in Charlotte Jones’ Airswimming for Glassy Essence, ‘Constance Chatterley’ (Lady Chatterley’s Lover) for Bookshop Theatre; National Theatre Studio includes: ‘Lady Fidget’ in The Country Wife (director: Laurence Boswell) and new writing (director: Mick Gordon).  Film and television includes: The Comic Strip Presents… (Channel 4), ‘Sandra’ in Sandra’s Story – Covent Garden Stories, ‘Charley’ in A World After (feature – 1085 Films), The Bill (TalkbackThames), ‘Vi’ in Dusa, Fish, Stas And Vi (BBC, director: Jonathan Wright Miller).  Radio and voice-over work includes: Woman’s Hour (BBC Radio 4), ‘Ailsa’ in Ailsa And The Moon (Blue Moon Productions) and narration for a number of documentaries (BAFTA and RTS Award nominated) for BBC, Channel 4 and TeachersTV.  As director:Desire Lines by Ian Rowlands.  Leigh is co-artistic director of glassy essence and a founder member of The Collective.

Martin Eatough – Lighting Designer

Martin has worked as lighting designer, projectionist and sound technician at the White Bear, Blue Elephant, Etcetera, Diorama, Hen and Chickens and Trinity (Tunbridge Wells) on productions including The Country Wife, A Cherry Orchard, Unfinished Business, Marcia’s Massage, Samadhi and a cover of Stars in Their Eyes. He has a projector (as PC external monitor), a Jago motorised screen and lanterns for hire. He sings with the London Chorus and Highgate Choral Society, plays piano and is currently director of one IT company and in partnership with another. He provides course instruction, presentations and demonstrations at trade exhibitions and test automation, management and development services to major clients in distribution, finance, government, manufacturing and retail in the UK, USA and Europe.
